2015 marked the 20th<\/sup> years of the RSPCA\u2019s Million Paws Walk<\/a>\u2014which celebrates the important roles that animals play in our lives and raises awareness of animal cruelty.<\/p>\n

While record numbers of canines and people turned out at multiple locations across Australia, in the country’s capital, Canberra, our four-legged friends broke a world record.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

A whopping 764 dogs turned out wearing bandanas, smashing the Guinness Book of World Record\u2019s for the number of pooches wearing bandanas in one location.<\/p>\n

Apparently it was a logistical nightmare getting all the dogs into the marshalling area for counting, but well worth it we think!<\/p>\n

The Million Paws Walk<\/a> is the RSPCA\u2019s biggest fundraising event of the year. Funds raised go towards the critical work that the RSPCA does in the community to care for the 30,000 plus animals that enter their shelters each year.<\/p>\n
