What\u2019s scoffing cupcakes got to do with <strong>protecting animals against cruelty<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p class=\"txt\">Well, the RSPCA is encouraging you not to just buy or bake a bunch of cupcakes and eat them all up, but to <strong>host a fundraising cupcake-eating event<\/strong>. Your event can be as wild and wacky as you wish and can include just your nearest and dearest or the whole community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"txt\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"__mcenew\" src=\"\/media\/3841\/003.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"655\" height=\"465\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-591 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zookie.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/003.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zookie.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/003.jpg 655w, https:\/\/www.zookie.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/003-300x213.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 655px) 100vw, 655px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"txt\"><strong>All the funds raised through Cupcake Day will go to help mistreated animals live a better life:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$24 can pay for an enrichment toy for a kitten<\/li>\n<li>$50 can cover boarding costs for animals of domestic violence victims<\/li>\n<li>$100 can desex a cat or dog so that it can be adopted into a loving home<\/li>\n<li>$240 can subsidise emergency surgery for an animal in pain<\/li>\n<li>$350 can keep an inspector on the road fighting animal cruelty<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"txt\">While Monday August 17<sup>th<\/sup> is the \u2018official\u2019 <a title=\"RSPCA Cupcake day\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rspcacupcakeday.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RSPCA Cupcake Day<\/a>, you can hold an event on any day in August.
