The cool folk at Gelatissimo<\/strong><\/a> are treating our four-legged friends with an all-new Doggie Gelato. Yes, really!<\/p>\n

This is one special Gelato; it\u2019s been specially created with dogs in mind so it\u2019s dairy free and totally suitable for dogs, while also being super delicious. In fact, us humans can eat it too. Win-win!<\/p>\n

Filipe Barbosa, CEO of Gelatissimo<\/strong><\/a>, tells us, \u201cWe noticed dogs and their owners were sharing more moments out together, with dog bowls in front of cafes and shopfronts, and wanted to capture this moment too. We thought, why not treat our furry friends to some gelato as well?<\/p>\n

\u201cSo we did some research and found that there were ingredients out there that can be safely consumed by dogs, but tasty enough for owners too! At Gelatissimo HQ there are lots of dog lovers, so naturally it was a yes to the idea!\u201d<\/p>\n

Flavoured with peanut nougat, it\u2019s no surprise that Gelatissimo\u2019s Doggie Gelato is a big hit.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been overwhelming! We\u2019ve been on The Living Room<\/em> and Weekend Today<\/em>, as well as national and local press. Owners and pooches of Australia are loving it; we\u2019ve had numerous posts on Instagram of dogs enjoying their gelato, with someone calling it \u2018the best thing ever\u2019. We\u2019re ecstatic!\u201d<\/p>\n

So of course, what we really wanted to know is will we be seeing more Doggie Gelato flavours\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t consider it at the time of launch, but we\u2019re open to it! We did try a Beef Jerky flavour but it wasn\u2019t quite tasty enough for us humans!\u201d<\/p>\n

As to whether Gelatissimo<\/strong><\/a> will introduce Doggie Gelato permanently, Filipe says it depends on the popularity of this one\u2014so go grab your pooch a treat.<\/p>\n
