The pawfect healthy tea party

Pixie, the fashionista pug and Zookie blogger, recently hosted a tea party with her fur friends Honey, Lolly and Duke to create awareness about organic products and the importance of healthy eating. Pixie tells us about her favourite health-conscious treats.

Nature’s Gift Australia organic range is certified by the ACO (Australian Certified Organic) so of course I had to serve these at my tea party. The ACO standard for pet food requires all products to be nutritionally adequate to maintain good animal health and must contain at least 95% certified organic ingredients.

According to Nature’s Gift, “Organic farming enhances the long-term health of our planet”. That’s why the company’s experts choose to source ingredients from Organic farms where no pesticides, synthetic chemicals or fertilisers are used.

Only the best of the best for my barking besties! On the plate we had the organic dry dog food and a mixture of the beef and chicken dishes. Bellisimo!

You can’t have a tea party without Miss Drew’s Bakery.

Miss Drew's Bakery offers your pooch freshly baked treats that will have them drooling for more. Made with local and Australian sourced human grade ingredients such as organic wheat-free flours, organic oats, locally made 100% peanut butter, organic coconut oil, organic honey, fresh fruits, veggies, herbs, eggs, carob and yoghurt.

The best part is that they come in the form of human-looking treats like donuts and tarts and they are good for the waistline!

What's not in Miss Drew’s treats is almost as important as what is in them

There is no added sugar, no added salt or artificial ingredients.  These delicacies are baked fresh to order and not mass made with cheap imported off cuts and unwanted fillers off a factory floor in China.

Here’s the cutest part—all the treats are taste tested by Miss Drew the Pug and if she gives us the paw approval then I think your pooch will love them too!

Joseph Lyddy Pet Indulgence stocks some really healthy ‘Activity Bars’ with four meat proteins so these were a great addition to our doggy tea party. The bars are made with natural Australian ingredients. They’re a great soft and chewy treat, which can be served as a reward when training or as a low fat delight.

NOTE: Always provide fresh water for your dog as it aids with digestion and helps hydrate the body after a meal!

Joseph Lyddy Pet Indulgence offers a whole host of pet products. They treated my guests to a goody bag containing a matching lead and collar set (score!), cleansing shampoo, conditioner, pet wipes, a treat bag and food bowl. We all went home exhausted and absolutely spoilt.

Only the finest for our fur friends. Blue Wheelers’ Treats are all sourced from natural Australian products and are fully Australian made and supplied. As they say “Doesn’t your best friend deserve the best?”

Well, yes, thank you Blue Wheelers, we do deserve the best! Give them a try, your furry friend will love them.

Just so our parents didn’t miss out (because they apparently ‘had’ to chaperone my event!), I arranged these awesome Ecococoon vacuum insulated drink bottles with Sausage Dogs on them! It kept the ‘rents’ refreshed while they waited on us hand and foot.

Furry fashion

Oh and the most important information I know you’re all dying to hear is; who are we all wearing?

Pixie and Lolly are sporting some springtime light and flowing dog dresses from Melbourne-based store Hachi!

Honey wore her own dress but teamed it perfectly with a rocker chick collar with studs from Belts From Oz. This beauty is hand-made leather and was crafted to fit her exact size.

My special mate Duke is looking dapper in his Annabel Trends bow tie collar – talk about bow wow boyfriend material!

I had the most pawfect time at my tea party and gave mum the wonderful job of cleaning up the mess!
