The Dog Lovers Show is back and you’d be barking mad to miss it!

Sydney Dog Lovers Show returns for the biggest celebration of our fur-ends

01 Aug 2016 By Leanne Philpott Comments

This year’s Sydney Dog Lovers Show takes place at The Hordern Pavilion in Moore Park this weekend (Aug 6-7) and sees our favourite animal experts come together for a weekend of furry fun, entertainment and education—all revolving around our barking buddies.

CEO and Founder of the Show Jason Humphris says, “A love of dogs is something that unites literally millions of Australians because they enrich our lives, contribute a wide range of benefits to the community and make us fundamentally happier.”

He also promises the pooch paradise will be even bigger and better than last year, with more celebrity and canine talent ever seen under one wroof in Sydney.

Headlining the Sydney Dog Lovers Show is Dr Chris Brown, Dr Katrina Warren, the Village Vets and celebrity dog trainer Peta Clarke and while visitors are unfortunately unable to bring their dogs, there will be lots of opportunity to get up close and paw-sonal with some beautiful breeds of dog.

Prepare to be wowed by a World Record Attempt at Extreme Dog High Jump, featuring pooches from the Australian Working Dog Rescue, bowled over by the Scent Dog Spectacular, and potentially go home with a new pooch, thanks to the CANIDAE Rescue Dog Zone.

Katrina Warren and the Wonderdogs

Everyone’s favourite—the Pat-APooch Zone is back and is the perfect place to go to cuddle and connect with a wide range of beautiful breeds. If that’s not enough, the world’s premier canine aquatics competition, DockDogs presented by BlackHawk, invites visitors to watch Australia’s most talented dogs attempt some of the longest jumps, highest leaps and fastest water retrievals ever witnessed – launching off an elevated dock into a massive 100,000 litre swimming pool!

With over 200 exhibitors, there are endless opportunities and ideas to spoil your pooch. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also Doggy LEGO® for the young and young at heart, some of Sydney’s best Food Trucks for those looking to fuel a pooch-packed weekend and a Doggy Bookshop!

The award-winning event returns to the Royal Hall of Industries and The Hordern Pavilion in Moore Park on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th August from 9.30am-5pm daily. For further info or to book tickets visit: www.dogloversshow.com.au/sydney
