Million Paws Walk 2016 – it’s not too late to register or donate

Fur-friends join together to fight animal cruelty

This coming Sunday, May 15, 2016, dogs and their owners from all across Australia will join together to take part in the RSPCA’s Million Paws Walk.

This inspiring event aims to help fight animal cruelty. All money raised through fundraising initiatives, donations, activities on the day and merchandise sales will go towards supporting the incredible work that the RSPCA does to protect and care for our canine chums.

More than 35,000 animals enter RSPCA shelters every year, so it is these much-needed funds that go towards staffing, education and support programs as well as animal care and shelter.

Animal lovers, with or without fur-eind, are invited to attend a local event to enjoy the fun and friendly atmosphere. In NSW alone there are 20 different locations taking part so the choice is yours.

Those attending the Million Paws Walk can expect an array of fun activities such as a VIP Pooch area, dog competitions (Best Trick, Best Haircut, Best Dressed and Best Pet Owner Look-a-like!), prize draws, and exhibitors selling their pet supplies and sharing their animal advice. Events and activities will vary, depending on which state you’re in but one thing’s for sure, it’s going to be pawsome fun.

Whether you want to register to take part in the Million Paws Walk or you simply want to find your local event, visit the Million Paws Walk website.

Note: It’s recommended that you register prior to the event but you may register on the day so long as you get there early.
